For my Visual Communications Class, I was tasked with creating two out-of-home advertisements for a non-profit that represent the emotions "sadness" and "anger." I selected the Word Wildlife Fund as my organization.
I wanted my messaging on each design to be simple and effective, because OOH ads are looked at for very short periods of time.

The first design reflects the impact of oil pollution in our ecosystems. I designed the coral reefs to look like hands coming up from a graveyard. The goal with the message is to create sadness, because the coral reefs are reaching out and begging for help, but only we can make a difference. Slowly, each reef will go from colorful and thriving, to dark and morbid.

The second design was a creative way of communicating what is literally happening to forests every minute. The goal was to create anger through feelings of urgency and the need to act immediately, because every time the minute hand moves, forests are being demolished.
